You have to actually write a review after using them, and there’s no guarantee you’ll get selected right away. From what I’ve seen, though, the Yo! Free Samples crew and I have gotten quite a few free items through this same site. To try it out, head to the Home Tester Club site, log in or sign up (you’ll need a verified phone number). Then, go to the Test section, fill out the survey, and wait for an email — it might take a few tries before you’re matched with a product. Just keep applying. It’s all in the US, and your phone and email must be valid. They match testers based on your survey answers and profile, so don’t skip the questions.
